Recreating my favourite Grammy 2014 look

The grammy awards held on Sunday 26th and we all waited to see what looks would grace the red carpet this year.

Having gone through a whole lot of the pictures from this year's grammy awards, I observed a lot of the celebrities went for soft nude lips. There were a couple of red lips but was either deep reds or reds with orange hue. And of course seems no one forgot to use a bronzer lol.

My two favourite looks was Rita Ora.I totally loved the purple eyes and pale pink lips on Rita Ora.

Today I sat down to recreate Rita Ora 's look. And yes! A bride can wear this look as it has a pale pink lips which compliments the eyes.

This look is a gorgeous red carpet look especially for those who want to step out of the normal black eyes for red carpet.

So here is the picture of my recreated look and product listing

Details:

Eyes: I used purples from sleek palettes in bad girl and sparkle2. I added a hint of gold from Tara's bronzer in light in the tear duct

Face: I used dermablend cover creme, dual 45 from house of Tara and finished up with iman luminous in earth 3 to give a bit of bronzy effect.

Blush: sleek blush by 3

Lips: I had a combination of zaron's pretty pink lipstick and Tara's inyanga lipstick to give that pale pink look

Lashes: elf dramatic lash.

There you have it. So for your next red carpet event give it a try.

Till my next post

My 'Tejusho' inspiring makeup look.

Hello beautiful ,

I added some new makeup to my collection from house of Tara, among my new collection is the new lip pie called Tejuosho....hmmmm, I love it! it was out of excitement I created this look today.

I will take you through each step of how I achieved this look.

1. I primed my face with Black opal invisible oil blocking mattifer( I just got this to try out and I must say I like the feel and my face was free of oil for about 7 hours)

2. Then I applied marykay matte wear in one coat and went over it with Dermablend. Now this dermablend is as fantastic as the reviews say about it, it has an excellent coverage and blends so well.

Next I applied my iman oil blotting powder in light medium

I filled my brows with Tara' s eyebrow pencil in brown and added a bit of zaron' a eyebrow filler

I used the gold from Tara's trio eyeshadow in Lewii to highlight my brow bone.

I primed my eyes with too faced insurance eye primer( I have had this primer for a while I can't tell why I haven't been using it.lol, it's an asset.)

I used Tara's quad palette in set 3 on my eyes and used the purple from sleek's sparkle palette as a transition color. In my tearduct is the Tara's bronzer in light

I applied the bronzer on the bridge of my nose and above my cheek bone to give me that glowy effect.

Then finally I applied my tejuosho lipstick from house of Tara. I must confess it was this lipstick that motivated me to beat my face today. I suddenly am in love with dark colors so when I got this lipstick you can't imagine my excitement .

After about 2 hours of rocking the lipstick alone, I decided to transform the lips to an ombré lips so I applied a mixture of zaron , I think sweet pink, and added the white paint for makeup forever flash palette to create the gradient lip effect.

So there you have it!

I am loving all my new collection,So you will be seeing more inspiring makeup from me using the products I just got.

Till my next post, drop your comments, share this look with a f

Friend, fellow makeup artist, try it on. Xoxoxo!

Product Review - Tara Medium coverage foundation

Hello Beauties!
Today I would like to review the TARA MEDIUM COVERAGE foundation. This foundation came in the goodie bag that I was given at the Bruncheon organised by the House of Tara. It took place last month at Bon voyage Hotel in Victoria Island. And I happened to have received a pleasant surprise honorarium for being the Winner of  the Face to Face International Makeup competition in Orlando Florida. Thank you House of Tara.

I bet a lot of you heard about the event as it created a buzz on the social media.lol.

Ok, so the foundation shade in my goodie bag was TF311.
It came in the beautiful black packaging.
It has an excellent viscosity for a liquid foundation

This shade is not my shade so I had to get someone whose shade it was in order to do a proper analysis. Thankful Joy walked into Flawless studio and gladly accepted my request to test on her face. Thank you Joy. This is Joy before I applied the foundation on her face

I put a little on her face as shown in the picture below. I noticed that a little goes a long way. That means the foundation will take a while to finish.lol

I found the foundation easily blendable. And it gave a smooth coverage as you can see in the picture above. It is not oily.
It also covered the mild blemishes that Joy had.

In conclusion:
Pros:
1. Nice pacakaging
2. Good viscosity
3. Easily blends into the skin
4. Good coverage for a medium coverage foundation
5. A little covers alot.
6. Not Oily

Cons:
The shade name is not written on the body of the main product so If you loose the pack you may not remember what shade you used/purchased.

Hope you find this very useful! I would love to hear from you especially after you have used this foundation.

Till my next post here's a favourite quote for you
